The development of your team is largely dependent on what you've unlocked. Unlock more creature variants to fill out traitsĭevelop your Avatars (though tbh this can be done passively while grinding low level realms you need to have a strong enough team to take down the avatars in the first place)īeat the realm god variants to get the really powerful tier 2-3 traits You need to keep going forward so you can: You're not unlocking stuff that makes your team better by sitting on one floor. The point of the game is progression and until you've hit realm 415 (false gods) I feel that it is simply better to push forward than farm low level missions. Spending tons of time not progressing is definitely not how I'd play the game even if I didn't figure out how to make a strong build early on. ![]() You don't have to look at guides to make a solid team that is capable of constant progression. Ursprungligen skrivet av Destro:I mean, if you're playing some super op meta hp-stacking pyromancer build that uses the absolute best of the best trait combinations, I'm sure that nothing is going to be a problem for you, and resources aren't even going to be on your list of concerns. It feels like killing a rat and getting 32 brimstone, then killing a dragon god and getting 32 brimstone. I just want my lvl 118 area to not give me the same 32 brimstone off a torch that I can get in a lvl 1 zone. Farming level 1 areas is insane for mid-game unlocks. And, the only thing I really dread is farming lvl 1 zones over and over again for another 50+ hours to get the majority of the early/mid game stuff (monster knowledge, artifact upgrades, basic piety unlocks, etc.) unlocked.Įven for you veteran god-tier min-maxers, I imagine that in the mid-game (assuming you choose to restart on release and some of the more op-trait combos get nerfed) it's going to be most efficient for you in terms of progression to at some point 'stop' progressing and farm lvl 1 zones to get your basic 'stuff', even if you don't necessarily need to do it to proceed at a gradual, yet overall slower rate. And, it would nice for that first 100 or so hours of gameplay to reward going up, rather than down, on area levels when farming.Īnyway, I made this thread somewhat reluctantly because I do kind of want to replay the game again when it actually gets released with the hope that progression (this post) and traits get rebalanced (assuming that post on the forums I read is true) among various other expansions like more gods. ![]() So, for the average joe, like me perhaps, who plays the game in a vacuum for fun without looking up op things before/while playing, it's easy to see in the mid-game that level 1 areas are the de facto best spots for loot. I mean, if you're playing some super op meta hp-stacking pyromancer build that uses the absolute best of the best trait combinations, I'm sure that nothing is going to be a problem for you, and resources aren't even going to be on your list of concerns.
